IT'S A....

ANOTHER BOY!!

The ultra sound technician said it was definitely a boy because he wouldn't keep his hands away from his parts. LOL!

This is the picture we sent to our families to tell them we were having another boy!

We took the boys with us to find out the sex of the baby and they loved being apart of it. They both would say they wanted a baby sister but when they found out it was a boy they were excited. I told Kyson that he had another baby brother to beat up on and he said, "No Mommy I won't beat him up he is too little!"

I had a couple scares during the first months of my pregnancy so we were excited for a healthy baby. It's funny when I tell people I am having a third boy and they almost respond like I should be in mourning. It's kind of weird.

We can't wait for our third boy to join our family, which also means I won't be pregnant anymore! YEAH!!

March 1, 2012 - Bestest Friend

I flew up to SLC to be with my sister Natalie while she had her baby. Flights were much cheaper in the early morning and Natalie couldn't come get me until after school. So that meant I got to spend an entire day with one of my best friends growing up. We went shopping, ate way too much food and even got to enjoy a movie without any kids. My husband stayed home in LV with my two boys and her husband watched her little girl after a long day of school. We sent this picture to our hubby's to thank them for being so awesome. I'm sure Shad thought I was dead sexy! LOL! Thanks for such a great time Britni Ruth!

March 5, 2012 - Cheznie Hannum

It was a rough day and night for my sister Natalie but beautiful Cheznie was born healthy and happy in the early morning on March 5th. It was so fun to be there during her birth.

While away on this trip the following pictures were some of the few I received from Shad back home in Vegas.

We miss you Mommy! I couldn't stop laughing at Brox's face!

My kids have adopted a cute couple in our ward as their substitute Grandparents here in Vegas since Shad and my parents "live so far away".  Brother and Sister Van Buskirk brought them these ice cream bars from Dairy Queen one night while I was gone. Seriously they are so awesome to my kids!

Shad also decided to do this to their hair while I was gone. This would be the down side of your husband knowing how to cut hair. Despite Brox's face in this picture they LOVED their mohawks. When I got home and picked them up I went to touch their hair and Broxy said "No Mommy don't touch my mohawk. You mess it up!"

Yup - total ghetto style mohawk all the way down the back of their heads! Lovely!!

March 17, 2012 - Softball and Haircut

This was the only picture I got of Shad but he played in another great tournament with his law enforcement softball team. Although I was in the wind most of the day I had just gotten a new haircut... surprising how just cutting your bangs makes you look so different.

Preschool project by Kyson

March 21, 2012 - Random Pictures

Shad will sometimes send me pics while I'm away from work. When I get cute ones like these it so hard not to jump in the car and come play with my boys.

Catching some "Vitamin D" ...Grandpa Whipple taught them about laying out in the sun. If they get skin cancer it's your fault Dad!

March 29 - April 1, 2012 - Sand Hollow

This was a big couple of days for Shad & I and our little family. It was our first camping trip we did all by ourselves. We finally got the last few items we felt we needed to camp by ourselves for Christmas and we were so excited to finally go. It was such a success! The kids played in the water the entire time. It was way too cold for Shad & I but the kids didn't care.

We had some of our friends come to the lake for dinner. Dutch oven BBQ chicken and potatoes! It was yummy!!

Uncle Cole and Elsie.

Shad, Kyson, Ranger Wilson and Uncle Cole.

I failed to mention that my parents and family did end up coming for the end of the camping trip but we really did camp on our own for a couple of days.

Broxy riding the motorcycle with Grandpa Whipple.

Calling all single ladies... this is my cute single brother!!

We don't own life jackets so when Kyson wanted to go in the kayak with Grandpa we had to make do with what we had...

I don't think it was such a great idea. Can you see Kyson's head sticking out of the arm hole? LOL!

Hunting for Easter candy and the money egg!

February 2012

Feb 2, 2012 - Lunch with Daddy

Brox had never seen Shad in his uniform so we decided it would be fun to meet him for lunch on a day I didn't have to work. The boys LOVED it! Although it took Brox a little bit to recognize Shad.

Shad recently taught them the "Rock On" sign so you will see that repeated in future pictures. Brox always tried really hard but his fingers were not quite coordinated enough. LOL!

Feb 18, 2012 - Family Visit

My family came to visit this weekend and we decided to have a picnic at the park. They got these stickers in their kids meal from Subway. We had fun with them!

Feb 23, 2012 - Belated Valentine's Surprise

Shad surprised me with a hotel room on the strip at one of the new casinos - Aria. It was the nicest room we have ever stayed at! It was awesome to get away for a night and relax. We went to their steakhouse (we do not recommend it) but we also got cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory and that NEVER disappoints.  Love you babe!! Thank you for always spoiling me I couldn't ask for anything more!

View from our room!

Feb 24, 2012 - Lied Discover Museum

We had a couple free tickets to this museum in Vegas. The boys had so much fun playing with all of their displays.

January 2012

I took a total of TWO pictures during the month of January!! Yup, that should tell you how well I was functioning that month. LOL!

Jan 6, 2012

And the two pictures included this gem... (ALERT: The story to follow is not for the weak stomach, proceed at your own risk!)

As mentioned in previous post this was at the prime of my morning sickness. I have been sick with the past pregnancies but this was the first pregnancy I had to get on medication for the sickness and at this point I hadn't gotten the script yet and even with the script I was still throwing up... lovely.

The story begins.. Shad decided that since we don't have Obi (our bull mastiff) anymore he needed to switch our dog food from a large breed to a small breed. Shad has had dogs his whole life so surely he knows that you slowly have to transition your dog to the new type of dog food right? Why yes he did but apparently he didn't think about it when the switch was made (so he says now). So I wake up one morning to Kyson telling me that I needed to look at something that Bo (our cocker spaniel) had done that was really bad. I proceed to open my bedroom door and it hits me... the smell sent me straight back to the bathroom to throw up. Again I was literally not functioning this month. So I then bring myself to look over my balcony and the tears started flowing because I saw the sight... Bo's poop EVERYWHERE! The picture doesn't do it justice because it was also all over on the other side of the room by the sliding door to our backyard.  Poor Bo - I'm sure he was waiting by the door trying to get out. He really is the best dog ever and is very well trained. I'm sure he was just as traumatized as I was. Kyson then grabs my hand and says "It's ok Mommy you can be a big girl and clean it up." It was comforting he thought I could be a BIG girl but I KNEW I couldn't. I wanted to be a baby!! For the record I did try to start cleaning it up but it was so runny, smelly and disgusting and my morning sickness would not let me continue. I could have cleaned it up if I wasn't pregnant (I will keep telling myself that - thanks). So I called Shad (who was at work) and between my sobbing and gagging got out that he needed to come home IMMEDIATELY to clean up Bo's diarrhea he created. He started LAUGHING. (If you are laughing too I will literally come through this computer and strangle you. -jk-) THEN my ANGELS walked through the door (a.k.a. my sister and her husband - McKenzie & Dustin). They had no idea this was going on but just happened to stop by... poor souls!! Kenzie sent me to my room as I rambled "Please don't clean up the poop Shad will do it when he gets home" and I fell asleep from the emotional strain of the whole ordeal. Fast forward probably two hours and I woke up to the floor spotless clean and my boys with slurpee's in hand. Note: Kenzie & Dustin have never wanted pets so for them to clean up a floor full of runny poop was going far above and beyond the call of family duty. Needless to say I owe Kenzie & Dustin Cafe Rio for the rest of their lives... or something as equally important. I would not have survived without Kenzie through the first months of my pregnancy - she practically took care of my kids for me. Thanks again you two!!

P.S. How funny is it that Kenzie took that picture of Kyson smiling at the disgusting poop like he just found a treasure. BOYS!

Jan 26, 2012 - Riding Bikes

One day I got enough strength to take my boys outside to let them ride their bikes. They were troopers through my five months of sickness. However, I'm sure Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Looney Tunes and Star Wars was a better companion than I was those months. Don't judge. Even now when I say I don't feel good they say "oh are you going to throw up?" When anyone else throws up they ask if they have a baby in their belly. Sad.

Love you Kyson & Brox!!
