April 2012

April 6, 2012 - Holsteins

We bought a groupon for Holsteins at the City Center on the strip. We had heard great things about it and wanted to try it out and couldn't pass up the offer. City Center was awesome and Holsteins food was fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone.

A fun shoe the boys loved playing in at City Center.

April 7, 2012 - Easter Egg Hunt

You always get lucky when you can find somewhere to take your kids to Easter egg hunt that is 1- not crowded and 2- not put on by you. My sister's ward put this fantastic hunt on and the kids had so many eggs they kept falling out of their baskets. They had a great time!

April 8, 2012 - Easter Sunday

Easter bunny visited the boys this year... they had fun finding their baskets!

My handsome boys!

April 14, 2012 - Cedar City Indoor Pool

We visited Grandma & Grandpa Rollo in Cedar City and decided to try out the new indoor aquatic center. The boys had a blast, especially Brox because he didn't have to wear floaties.

Shad talked Kyson into going down this tube slide. Shad went first and could hear Kyson screaming behind him. Usually Ky is pretty daring but Shad did say he was a little nervous himself going down the first time because it's pitch black in there and you don't know when a turn is coming up. LOL! He must not have been too scared because Shad talked Ky into going down two more times.

Oh no here comes a shark!

April 21, 2012 - Pool Day and Murder Mystery

More pics of my boys favorite activity during the hot summer months in Vegas!

Shad's work partner invited us to join him and his wife along with another couple to try out a Murder Mystery Dinner and Show at a casino on the old strip. My expectations were not high but I was pleasantly surprised! We had a great time and I even won the entire game!! Yup I guessed who the murderer was. I think Shad and his partner were pretty disappointed because they kept saying they were paid detectives and were going to win the game. They were very much into the game but I schooled both of them!! After they saw what the prize was for winning I think they were ok with me taking the game.... the image is permanently burned into my mind!

THE PRIZE: A picture with a "real" show girl, two tickets to the comedy show after the dinner (which we already had tickets to) and a Super Sleuth plaque. Who says you can't win big in Vegas!!

"Cooka Doodle" pictures

Growing up my family had a tradition to make cookie dough on Sundays and we never made a single cookie. I know this might make a few of you sick but in the many years of doing this, I have yet to contract salmonella from it (knock on wood). So now my family continues the tradition in our own little families and then we'll send pictures of the cookie dough we made to everyone to make them all jealous!!

One Sunday Brox woke me up in the morning and said, "Mommy will you make me some cooka doodle?" How do you say no to that?

XOXO Melanie
